I'm Aaron, a product designer based in Toronto with a focus on complex digital products, data-rich experiences, and scalable systems.

My work spans research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and design systems. I am drawn to products where people need to understand complex information and move through workflows shaped by business, technical, and regulatory rules, and I reduce that complexity without removing what they need to act with confidence.

At All-Risks Insurance Brokers, I designed digital quoting, onboarding, self-service, and a shared design system. At Fisheries and Oceans Canada, I redesigned a research platform for exploring and interpreting ecosystem data.

I work with product, engineering, and subject-matter experts from discovery through implementation, and care as much about the decisions and constraints behind an interface as its details.

I hold a Master of Information in User Experience Design from the University of Toronto, and my background in communications shapes how I approach content and hierarchy.

When I'm not designing

Outside of product work, I'm usually experimenting with something, whether that's photographing the night sky, making pizza from scratch, or learning a new tool.

Astronomy

I photograph the moon and planets with an 8-inch Dobsonian telescope. It's equal parts patience, curiosity, and figuring out why something isn't working.
